Why Law4 exists
It began with a job search.
Law4 did not come off a drawing board. It came out of a concrete problem in the Swiss legal market.
“The problem is structural — and the software that could solve it did not exist.”
Attorney Amina Ouakrim was looking for a position she could reconcile with family life — and found little in the Swiss market beyond full-time roles. Going independent ran into fixed costs that make part-time work uneconomic.
Looking for a solution made two things clear: the problem is structural. And no software in Switzerland lives up to what a modern firm expects. So we built it — three developers and a lawyer who sat at the table from day one.
Today LAW4 consists of two products: the Workspace for the firm and Advice for its clients. Both share the same platform, the same data and the same standard — and both are already in daily use.

Law4 was built by developers and shaped by a lawyer — not the other way round. Four co-founders, one table: anyone entrusting client data to the platform should know who stands behind it.
Colin Marti
Co-founder · Co-CTO
Federal Diploma in application development, trained at AXA Switzerland; his final thesis was recognised in 2025 as one of the best in the Canton of Zurich. Focus areas: scalable backend systems and IT security — sandboxing, incident response, SIEM. At Law4 he owns identity, authentication and access security.
Nick Werginz
Co-founder · Co-CTO
Federal Diploma in application development, trained at AXA Switzerland — focused on software engineering, cloud infrastructure and agile methods. Studying business informatics at the ZHAW School of Management and Law. At Law4 he owns architecture and infrastructure.
Oliver Meier
Co-founder · Business & Operations
Federal Diploma in business administration and certified managing director (ZFU Zurich). More than twelve years with a Swiss family business — as head of procurement and logistics, with leadership responsibility and international sourcing. At Law4 he owns operations, sales and customer relationships.
Amina Ouakrim
Co-founder · Attorney-at-law
MLaw (magna cum laude), admitted to the bar in 2023. Previously in the legal department of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) AG, at a Zurich public prosecutor's office, as a junior lawyer at Wenger Vieli AG and as an attorney in commercial and litigation practices. With minalex she runs her own firm — the first on Law4 — and brings legal practice straight into product development.
